Ellitoe's Egg. The story behind this story is interesting, I believe. After years of writing, I was talking to a group of kids in their early teens, including one of my daughters, who had a writing assignment for school and were moaning and complaining that they just "couldn't get started." I told them I felt there was no such thing as "writer's cramp" or "white paper syndrome." I told them that a good writer could write at the drop of a hat, any time, any place, in any manner. To show this, I immediately sat down at the computer and wrote this short story. I wrote in the vernacular just for fun. Once done, I read it to them. It was edited a bit for grammar and spelling (I wrote so fast, I messed up a few things), but otherwise, the story stayed the same. It was a bit hit, and it remains one of my wife's favorite stories. I created the cover a bit later. The result is a product I hope you like. Of course, I would like to know what you think of "Ellitoe's Egg."
