The Great Swoopy Day Robbery is one of my favorite stories, and has been on my list of works to complete since 1971.  Creating a short story from the original material was fun.  Ezekial Swoopy is a long-dead World War I pilot and war hero who crashes on his own land.  Swoopy, Illinois became the result of this event, and an annual celebration is held to commemorate...well to commemorate celebration.  At one of these, a man with unusual talents and powers, Sanford Twilly, takes on a job for a friend.  It is to deliver a suitcase full of money to the Great Swoopy Day celebration, but things get confused.  It is a funny story, involving the Mob in Chicago and those of Swoopy.  Twilly's girlfriend, a far-seeking and advanced-thinking girl, not only figures out how to work with her unusual boyfriend, but has to deal with his friends, one of whom has a habit of smelling books.  Oh, well, the situation becomes convoluted, and confused suitcases become an issue.  Find out what happens.
