The Major is a unique fictional character in the world of Nazi Germany and the world of Hitler himself.  Throughout Hitler's life, he has had a person involved with him who transcends all restrictions, and why?  This individual, an officer of sorts, is the only person who can tell it like it is with the man who sets the standard of how it is.  The Major is unique, fun, entertaining, informative and contrived by me.  When Hitler looks up at one of his meetings and does not see our hero standing, sitting or just lounging about, he asks, "Where's the Major?" and everyone looks around.  "Who?" they think but do not say.  When they find out who he is, they immediately get him a uniform and make him a major.  Hitler is content, but why?  Why does this insolent man, this clown of sorts, get away with what he gets away with.  Read and see.
