The Virtual Management Guide came about because of my career as an independent consultant and contractor producing work and arranging for work to be evolved "from a distance," namely in a virtual environment. Conventional management, as we usually see day in and day out, normally involves those in the same building, the same complex, but not over great distances around the world. This book, written to provide an overview of the principles of Virtual Management, is easy to understand, and is scoped in a manner that reflects common management procedures with those of this new century and is dedicated to a friend, now gone, Dean Saulsbery formerly of Newark, Delaware. It is designed to help companies form virtual departments and more with the idea of professionals working from home or remote locations and running a publications and documentation effort. Publications and Documentation principles can be applied in almost any industry, but it is a courageous move to add virtuality to conventional methodologies. Read this and see if the world is ready to accept the idea that our world is better off with a green concept that puts workers in their homes and not on the highways using up gas and clogging highways. Read and see.
